Global push, AI rollout mark next phase of Tampa-based ConnectSecure’s growth | The Tampa Bay Business Journal

ConnectSecure  |   Aug 21, 2025

In a Tampa Bay Business Journal feature, ConnectSecure CEO Peter Bellini shared how the company has scaled from a three‑person startup in 2022 to a 70‑employee organization with a growing global footprint, while remaining firmly rooted in Tampa’s MSP software ecosystem.

The company’s MSP focus and expertise stemmed from a lack of solutions built specifically for the channel, such as proactive security and continuous vulnerability management.

As Bellini explains in the article, this gap was clear when the company launched. Enterprise tools such as Nessus, Qualys, and Rapid7 dominated the market, but MSPs lacked a purpose‑built solution for continuous vulnerability management across multi‑tenant environments. ConnectSecure stepped into that space, positioning itself as the platform that helps MSPs reduce exposure before attackers strike, rather than reacting after a breach.

ConnectSecure has been an active force in driving Tampa’s emergence as a hub for MSP‑focused software companies and professionals. Nearly every member of ConnectSecure’s Tampa headquarters graduated from a local university, and the company actively makes its vulnerability management platform accessible to students at the University of South Florida and Saint Leo University.

As Bellini notes in the piece, Tampa is no longer an under‑the‑radar market. It has become a center of gravity for MSP software companies, combining strong talent, experienced founders, and an ecosystem focused on protecting small and midsize businesses at scale.
