ConnectSecure CEO Peter Bellini was recently featured in a CityBiz Q&A, spotlighting his perspective on how the MSP security model must evolve to match today’s cyber risk reality.
In the interview, Bellini covered an array of topics, including how his experience shaped his core belief: that the most effective way to improve cybersecurity for small and mid-sized businesses is to empower the MSPs who protect them every day.
Bellini also discussed the growing challenge of MSPs operating on outdated assumptions, relying on periodic assessments and fragmented tooling that create blind spots between engagements. He pointed to how MSPs hobble themselves by collecting large volumes of technical data with no means to translate it into business risk that clients understand. At the same time, alert fatigue makes it difficult to prioritize what truly matters.
As Bellini explains in the Q&A, ConnectSecure’s mission is to amplify MSPs’ ability to assess risk, reduce vulnerabilities, and build scalable, recurring security revenue. That requires moving beyond one-time scans or “find the vulnerabilities” exercises to continuous visibility across endpoints, cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and edge devices. AI-driven reporting then helps focus attention on the exposure that poses the greatest business impact.
